Recipe: Lactation Bites

Here is a recipe for a healthy snack to keep up energy for the breast feeding mum (and sleep deprived partner)! This took me 10 minutes to make and is so tasty.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup peanut butter

  • 6 tbsp honey

  • 2 tsp vanilla essence

  • 2/3 cup flaxseed meal

  • 1 cup rolled oats

  • 4 tbsp hemp seeds

  • 2 tsp chia seeds

  • 1 tsp cinnamon

  • Optional: 4 tbsp chocolate chips

Method:

  1. Mix all of the wet (peanut butter, honey, vanilla essence) ingredients in a bowl

  2. Add all of the dry ingredients and mix until everything is combined. It will be a thick, sticky mixture

  3. Fold in the chocolate chips if using

  4. Roll into bite size balls

  5. Set in the fridge
